Family trips to the USA

The USA is two trips, not one — East Coast is city-focused (NYC, Washington DC, often a Florida theme-park leg), West Coast is landscape-focused (Los Angeles, San Francisco, national parks). The itineraries below cover both, calibrated for family-of-four with realistic AUD costs.

When to go: Avoid US school summer (June-August) for the parks — they're packed and pricey. Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) are the family sweet spots.
