Ubank stores it. SaveToRoam plans where it's going.
Ubank's Spend and Save accounts are great for everyday banking with a savings goal. SaveToRoam is what tells you what the goal should be — and what to put away each week.
Ubank's savings goals stop at the number.
Ubank is a clean, digital-first bank with up to 10 Save accounts and a savings goal feature. You can name a goal ("Bali 2027"), set a target amount, and the app tracks progress. For a simple, already-costed trip, that's enough.
Where it breaks is the question of what the target should be. Ubank won't tell you that two weeks in Italy for a family of four out of Melbourne in shoulder season is closer to AUD $24,000 than AUD $15,000. You have to find that number elsewhere — and update it manually when the trip changes.
SaveToRoam is where you find and maintain the number. 60+ templates calibrated against real family-of-four bookings, broken into flights, accommodation, activities and food. A weekly target derived from the cost and the timeline. Updates when plans move. You take the weekly number into your Ubank Save and watch the goal fill.

Ubank's goals are great, but I didn't know what to type in. SaveToRoam gave me the real number — and what to save each week to hit it.

Common questions
Does SaveToRoam connect to Ubank?
Not directly. SaveToRoam stays out of your bank accounts on purpose — no Open Banking integration, no statement scraping. The workflow is: SaveToRoam calculates a weekly target for the trip, you move that amount manually into your Ubank Save each week.
Why is the weekly target useful if Ubank's app shows my goal progress?
Ubank's progress is "balance / target". SaveToRoam's progress is "balance / target, given the actual trip and the time you have". When the trip changes — a longer flight, a different hotel, a paid booking — the target updates. Ubank's stays at whatever you typed.
Should I use SaveToRoam if I'm already happy with Ubank's goals?
If the trip is simple, costed, and unlikely to change, Ubank's goals are probably enough. SaveToRoam earns its keep when the trip is bigger (overseas, multi-stop, paid in instalments), still being planned, or you want a single weekly number that reflects the real itinerary.
